15th November 2008 – An exciting night for our studio

Today Vicky Baptiste who works for my portrait photography business and myself are off to Abbotts Langley for a night of print judging at the MPA Central region awards. We are submitting work across most categories including wedding, portrait, pictorial, fashion and pets. The judging will provide the outcome for the Annual MPA Regional Awards which will be presented in January 2009. We think we have a strong set and are very excited about our chances. What do you think? 

31st October 2008 – Bride’s Choice WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER of the YEAR 2008

Last night I received the MPA Wedding Photographer of the Year award for the second consecutive year.  This award is voted for the readers of Brides magazine and Cosmo Bride Magazine.  This award is so special to me as it is voted for by the public, so thank you to everyone who placed their vote!

I also won second place in the Pictorial section with one of my images taken on my Leica during our Porto trip at the Sandeman Port Lodge.

Just  received my trophy today from the WPJA for finishing 3rd in this most prestigious competition. This competition attracts some of the best wedding photographers in the world.

20th September 2008 – True worldwide recognition...

A while ago I joined the Wedding Photojournalists Association, to be represented by an organisation that champions my editorial wedding style.  I am delighted that from the first time of entering their worldwide competition I have achieved a third place award. The image truly captures the wonderful emotion of the moment on Ruth and Sukhpal’s  wedding day. Follow this link to see the image:

30th October 2007 – What a night..... EUROPEAN WEDDNG PHOTOGRAPHER of the YEAR

I have just returned from the MPA National Photographic awards in Newcastle.   The event was attended by some of the leading names in the industry.  I was runner up in the Avant Garde Portrait Photographer of the Year category with an abstract image of a girls head on a hand.  I won the MPA, Mario Acerboni European Wedding Photographer of the year for a portfolio of images taken at an orthodox Jewish wedding.
